The Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH) is a powerhouse of science-driven innovation, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world impact. As one of Greece’s leading research and technology organisations, CERTH transforms knowledge into market-ready solutions that drive competitiveness, sustainability, and growth.
Operating under the supervision of the General Secretariat for Research and Innovation (GSRI), CERTH is a non-profit private law entity with a robust, self-sustaining business model based on competitive funding and direct industry collaborations.
What sets CERTH apart is its strong focus on the commercial application of research, demonstrated by the creation of 23 active spin-offs with proven economic value and investor interest. Its commitment to industry relevance is further evidenced by the fact that 13% of its revenue comes from bilateral research contracts with private companies, while 80% is secured through highly competitive European and international R&I programmes. Through strategic initiatives such as CERTH 2.0—a €33.87 million flagship investment co-funded by the European Investment Bank and the Recovery and Resilience Facility—CERTH is scaling up its infrastructure and research capabilities to stay at the forefront of global innovation.
EdelGive with SIX is a unique collaborative partnership between EdelGive Foundation in India and SIX, a global social innovation exchange, established in 2008 to identify and connect isolated social innovation leaders, build their capacity, and create a group of supportive peers from different parts of the world that would create pathways for others to follow. Over the last 15 years, SIX worked with dozens of partners from governments, companies, foundations and NGOs, across 6 continents.
EdelGive with SIX is a new collaboration started in 2025 with a new view that is truly global. The Global North has established a long history of impact research, infrastructure and organization capacity building and funding mechanisms. The Global South, with its rapidly growing population and diverse context, is home to dynamic innovation and firsthand experience with many of the world’s most pressing challenges and solutions. By combining these, alongside our organisational competencies, our aim is to create a more balanced and effective approach to global problem-solving.
